    Online IP Address Check

Enter an IPv4 or IPv6 address to see its country, city, ISP and organization.

    Check IP Address

    Coordinates unavailable
    IP InformationNo data

Check your own or any other IP address: country, city, ISP, organization, local time and an approximate spot on the map. The data comes from an IP geolocation database, so the city may differ from the real one.

    How it works

    How the IP check works

    1. We detect your address

The page sees the IP you came from, the same one every website sees. With a proxy or VPN on, you will see the proxy's address, not yours.

    2. We look it up in a geo database

Your browser queries the ipwho.is geolocation database itself for the country, city, ISP, organization and local time of your address. An address typed into the field is looked up by our server.

    3. We mark it on the map

The coordinates from the database are shown on the map. It is an approximate spot: the database knows where the ISP's network is registered, not where your device is.

    What the fields mean

    Type

The protocol version of the address: IPv4 or IPv6. You can check an address of either version by typing it in the field.

    ISP and organization

The ISP is the company that issued the address. The organization is the network owner in the registry: for mobile and home addresses it is usually the carrier, for server ones a hosting company or data center.

    Country, city and coordinates

They come from the geolocation database, so the city may differ from the real one. Especially with mobile carriers, whose addresses are often tied to a regional hub.

    Local time

The time in the time zone the database assigns to the address. If it differs from yours, websites see that mismatch too.

    FAQ

    Questions and answers

Why is the city not mine?

The city comes from a geolocation database, not from your device. The database stores where the ISP's network is registered, and for mobile carriers that is often a regional center or another region.

How do I check that a proxy works?

Turn the proxy on in your browser or system and open this page. If it shows the proxy's address and country, your traffic goes through it. If you see your usual address, the proxy is not applied.

    Do websites see my IP?

Yes. Every website you connect to gets your IP, otherwise it could not send a reply. From the address a site learns your approximate country, city and ISP, but not your name or exact address.

Can I check someone else's IP?

Yes. Type any IPv4 or IPv6 address in the field and press Check to see the country, city, ISP and organization of that address.

How is a mobile IP different from a server one?

A mobile address is issued by a carrier, and many subscribers go online through the same address at once, so websites are more careful about blocking it. A server address belongs to a data center, and anti-fraud systems recognize such addresses faster.

Need a mobile IP of your own?

Mobihub turns an Android phone into a mobile proxy with your carrier's IP: HTTP and SOCKS5, IP change by a button or a link.
